The Dance of Effective Communication
Why can't we all just understand each other? This workshop provides participants with the tools necessary for effective communication. The workshop begins with an activity focusing on personal communication styles. Participants learn different communication skills such as I statements, active listening, and perspective taking. Time is also spent learning the keys to diffusing anger and power struggles through communication. This workshop goes over the critical aspects of effective communication and sets the foundation for team building. Resolving Conflicts Effectively, It is Possible!
This workshop picks up where the last one left off. Time is spent reflecting on personal conflict management styles and the impact they have on others. Different conflict resolution models are then discussed and matched up with particular situations and personalities. In our fast paced society there is not much time to think about where we are in our lives. This workshop provides the opportunity for participants to stop and think carefully about their personal and professional lives. Leadership from the Inside Out (Part I)
This interactive workshop provides participants ways to improve in their roles as leaders. Time is spent refining leadership skills and learning new ways to become more effective leaders. Participants reflect on what their own strengths and weaknesses are and see what their impact on others is. Participants examine how they can work more effectively together. Participants practice communication skills such as active listening. Participants truly gain insight into how they can become better leaders for the people they are working with.

Leadership from the Inside Out (Part II)
This interactive workshop delves deeper into effective leadership. Proactive leadership is discussed and reflected on. Participants focus on how a proactive leadership style dramatically changes the workplace dynamic. Participants learn ways in which they can become more empowered while in the process of helping others grow. Problem solving exercises and role plays are also part of this workshop.

Professional Boundaries: The Art of Staying Within Them
Walking a fine line between the personal and professional is a delicate balance. Maintaining personal and professional boundaries takes a level of awareness. Preventative steps that staff can follow are one part of the answer to this puzzle. This interactive workshop provides helpful strategies for managing these challenges. Communication and conflict resolution techniques are included in this workshop.

Having Difficult Conversations
How many times have you dreaded having a particular conversation? How many times have you felt anxious to have a conversation with a particular person? Some of us react in anger and some of us are intimidated and back away from these situations. Some of us just give up and do nothing! This workshop provides a forum for discussing these issues. Techniques for communicating more effectively are provided. There are positive ways to deal with these types of conversations!

The Two A's in Tolerance: Awareness and Acceptance
This interactive workshop explores issues around tolerance. Through activity oriented experiences participants will become more aware of how their conscious and unconscious beliefs impact the level of acceptance they have for differences. Ideas for building community in the workplace and celebrating differences are included. Cross cultural communication is addressed through problem solving activities.
